We've wanted to make a photography-themed leather wallet for some time, and we finally got a chance to do it.
These minimalist card wallets are made of buttero, a premium vegetable-tanned leather from Italy. We wanted to make something special, so we selected buttero for its premium feel, look and quality.
Buttero is known for its superbly smooth top finish, and the beautiful glossy patina it gains over time. This leather is dyed through from grain side to flesh side, and has a great tensile strength, which means it will last for many years of daily use.
These card wallets are stamped, cut and sewn by hand in Lancaster, PA, just about an hour west of Philly.
Each wallet holds 8-10 cards in the center, and has both a front and rear pocket for cash or an ID card. Each color features a unique contrasting Japanese poly cord thread for a clean, classic look. The edges are hand sanded, beveled and burnished.
These wallets are a limited-edition item and we only made a few of each color.
