The 35mm Wood Camera

$ 125.00

35mm Wood Camera

We got together with George, a retired wood master craftsman, to design and make this original limited-edition wooden camera.

Handcrafted in Philadelphia, this is the ultimate gift for the photography connoisseur who thinks they've seen it all.

Over 12 hours of work goes into making each camera, with each piece of wood sanded, joined and finished by hand.

Each 35mm Wood Camera is made of 5 different types of wood:

  • Top plate and upper sides of the body: Oak.
  • Bottom plate, lower sides and focusing ring: African Walnut.
  • Hot shoe, base of the lens, the shutter button and front lens element: Maple.
  • Shutter dial and rewind dial on the top: Mahogany.
  • Viewfinder and rangefinder are Bloodwood veneer.

Each Camera comes with a unique edition number and storycard describing the types of wood used and how to properly care for this heirloom-quality gift.
